Allison Transmission Awards CMS Multi-Million Dollar Contract At Its Indianapolis Facility

Bargersville, IN – CMS Corporation (CMS) has been awarded a multi-million dollar turnkey contract with Allison Transmission to install piping systems at its production facility in Indianapolis, IN. CMS’s scope of work will include installation of piping serving the following systems: 1) steam, 2) compressed air, 3) steam condensate, 4) process waste, 5) well water, 6) diesel fuel, and 7) nitrogen at this facility. Additional scopes of work include the provision and installation of pipe supports, painting, and insulation.

CMS will pre-fabricate selected components at its 12,500-SF fabrication facility in Bargersville, IN. All other self-perform mechanical construction will be executed on site. CMS expects to have 20 skilled trades on site during peak performance within the 3-month construction period. CMS’s completion date is October 2017.

CMS Wins Informatics – Upgrade Utility Extension Project

Bargersville, IN, April 6, 2016 – CMS Corporation, a leading mechanical construction firm providing turnkey and design-build services, announced today that it has been awarded a $957,816 contract with Indiana University at their Bloomington campus. The scope of work includes the provision of all labor, material, and equipment to provide new steam and pumped condensate piping from a connection point near the Central Heating Plant to a point near Luddy Hall, a to-be-constructed Informatics & Computing Building, the provision of a hot tap and valves for the chilled water supply and return piping at the intersection of North Forest Avenue and 11th Street, and the installation of an electrical duct bank and medium voltage electrical service.
