Monroe County Youth Council Off to Good Start with CMS Donation

In October 2011, the newly-formed Monroe County Youth Council received a $3,000 donation from CMS to help kick off its inaugural year. The Monroe County Youth Council is a nonpartisan youth-led leadership initiative whose goal is to improve the community through youth-developed community service, civic engagement, and productive life skills projects. The Council’s mandate is to identify and address relevant community issues that affect young people, lead community youth in greater community involvement, and organize and lead youth activities.
